What dermal fillers are typically being used?

Each case is different based on the original lip shape and form, and the product will be chosen based on the desired look during initial free consultation. All of the filler that we offer are certified and FDA-approved, with hyaluronic acid as the main component. Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) is a kind of non-permanent (temporary) dermal filler. Olga Beauty RN (Olga Modlinska, New York, Moscow).

Hyaluronic acid is produced and found in our body. It attracts water, which allows the skin to become and look more hydrated. When a provider is injecting it in the lips it allows for expansion and definition as well as adding of volume.

FDA approved HA fillers include:

Juvéderm products: Juvéderm XC, VOLUMA, VOLBELLA, VOLLURE Restylane products: Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne and Belotero Balance.

Does the procedure hurt?

Topical anaesthetic is applied before the procedure for about 20 minutes to ensure minimal to no pain.

What should I know after the procedure?

With the Russian technique some bruising and swelling is expected. Swelling will subside within 2 days after the procedure and bruising will become minimal within 7 days. It is not recommended to drink any alcohol the day before or after the procedure, go to sauna or steam room for the next 7-14 days after, tan for 7 days after or exercise for the next 24 hours. Drinking lots of water is recommended.

Is the result permanent?

The results are temporary, lasting 6 to 9 months or longer, depending on the product and your metabolism. After that period the body gradually and naturally absorbs the particles.

In case you don’t like the result it can be dissolved using the ferment and the lips will go back to natural shape. If you have prior filler in the lips that you would like to remove before filling them filled again, 2 weeks – 1 month waiting period is suggested between the treatments.
